Dock just got better as he got older, in my opinion - his years of relative musical inactivity notwithstanding. Something about his music epitomizes the relationship a musician has to the body of traditional music… Dock’s music is at once familiar and completely recognizable as products of his own imagination and commitment to his own unique sound.
